How Spiritual Warfare Can Sneak up on You

You may get intrusive thoughts I myself do I have a very compulsive mind and so for a long time I just put this down to some form of undiagnosed OCD or whatever as I would often find my self cleaning things over and over and doubting if I'd done things like lock the house when I left. This is a medical condition that a lot of people have in some form or another and some people have it in an extreme way.

Now this may sound "schizo" and a lot of people nowadays would probably think so but there are intrusive thoughts you can have that are not just from a compulsive disorder or from overthinking but from demons - yes actual demons.

Thoughts you don't want may sometimes pop in your head thoughts that are unspeakably bad and make you feel ill or like a bad person or they may simply be things you don't believe in or disagree with they will sneak up on you and eventually snowball these thoughts can be subtle or extreme they can make you doubt yourself not simple things like "did I lock the door" but large things like "am I a good person" they can even make you doubt good things you have done in the past and say that you have misremembered, they can effect you in every sort of way and they are tricky and they are sometimes hard to detect.

The main thing to remember is that they are LIES. You will also often find that they can happen during prayer and make you think you may have ruined your prayer because something evil popped in your head again they are lies they are here to break you to break your hope but mainly to break your faith in God.

I am no authority on this but I deal with this quite a lot there can be a mixture of spiritual warfare and medical issues that exasperate it and you can bet the demons play that card as much as they can but just remember to keep the faith no matter what, that God loves you, that there is hope and again that demons lie and only lie even if they tell the truth it is to push a larger lie that is how they work they twist and turn everything.

You may have been praying more and noticed the spiritual warfare getting worse and worry you are doing something wrong, you are not. You are just now a threat to the devil and so he obviously is going to target you more, most people unfortunately walk themselves into hell all on their own when the devil sees someone going against the crowd he targets them.
